Black Belt Women Rising LGBTQ+ Coordinator VISTA
 
 
 
BlackBelt Women Rising is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to serving individuals of African American descent and other individuals dealing with crises. The focus areas are domestic violence and sexual assault, HIV awareness, poverty, and the environment. We will be providing culturally specific sensitive services through prevention education, court advocacy, as well as our training workshops and presentations for other shelters, members of the LGBTQ+ community, other community organizations, health, legal, and law enforcement professionals.

Member Duties : The VISTA will increase awareness and socio-emotional development of the LGBTQ+ community in youth and young adults through creating more equitable access to resources. They will also increase the awareness of HIV and intimate partner violence through events, education, and volunteerism.
