*Goodwill VISTA* Brunswick Welcome Center

The purpose of the Brunswick Welcome Center is to promote the inclusion, health, and well-being of all newcomers to the Town of Brunswick. The BWC is a resilient and collaborative community hub dedicated to supporting the physical, mental, and social needs of immigrants in Brunswick. The BWC does this by partnering with local nonprofits and service providers to bring programs into the Center, in addition to direct outreach to asylee community members. Member Duties : The VISTA member, and the BWC broadly, will alleviate poverty by providing educational, health, social, and basic needs services and programming for all New Mainers in Brunswick. The Center partners with local service providers to bring their resources to the Center. The Center acts as a central hub to increase efficiency and effectiveness of services to our asylee community. The Welcome Center is currently under-utilized but has the potential to be a tremendous asset in supporting the wellbeing and prosperity of immigrants and asylees in our community. The Welcome Center Coordinator will build capacity by expanding the programming, operations, and communications of the Center through volunteer management, community outreach, and building relationships with employers.
