Community Engagement VISTA (UWWF)
 
 
 
This position is responsible for the planning, development, management and implementation of strategies and investments to help improve outcomes for individuals and families and achieve community level change by enhancing and expanding United Way of West Florida’s Volunteer Engagement Department by 1) managing and promoting Get Connected, UWWF’s free volunteer platform, 2) coordinating individual, group, and business volunteer opportunities, and 3) assisting with the coordination of United Way of West Florida events, including Volunteer Appreciation Month, Stuff the Bus, and Day of Caring. Support the Community Investment grant process by 1) managing the E-Impact online portal, 2) assisting in the recruitment and training of Community Investment volunteers, 3) communicating with agencies about the Community Investment process, 4) providing support to the Director of Community Impact.

Member Duties : Manage & promote UWWF’s free volunteer platform. Complete Get Connected Agency Manager training with assigned Get Connected associate. Evaluate the diversity of the current volunteer corps & establish benchmarks based on community demographics and UWWF’s diversity and equity goals. Facilitate all Get Connected trainings. Promote & coordinate Get Connected and facilitate demos for schools, universities, philanthropy groups, chambers, businesses, organizations, and other groups. Track & manage recruitment efforts of Get Connected. Coordinate and track individual, group, and business volunteer opportunities. Research and learn about UWWF departments, programs and services provided at UWWF. Become knowledgeable about the community and resources of other organizations and nonprofits. Coordinate all volunteer requests for volunteer opportunities. Participate in all VISTA and UWWF Volunteer Engagement Webinars.
