2021-22 Financial Aid Program Development-UWM

The Office of Student Financial Aid at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is committed to providing resources and support for students across the state to understand and more easily navigate the college financial aid process. The VISTA member will contribute to this goal by focusing on increasing FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) filing rates of low-income high school students and families. The FAFSA is the first step in accessing financial aid, making higher education more financially attainable for low-income families. Serve Wisconsin manages the initiative that engages AmeriCorps VISTA members to address poverty related to racial disparity throughout the state of Wisconsin by focusing on building the economic opportunity for the communities of Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, and Native American.
