2022-23 Outreach Coordinator-Stepping Stones
 
 
 
Stepping Stones of Dunn County has three major focus areas: Food Pantry, Emergency Shelter and Volunteer Services. We are the primary service-provider for the food insecure and homeless in Menomonie and Dunn County, Wisconsin. We have identified several expansion areas including increasing outreach and services to underserved populations—with a focus on rural communities, members of the Hmong community and members of the Hispanic community. Within a broader effort of building capacity to provide for the underserved in Dunn County, the goal of the VISTA position will be to establish community relationships, assess areas of need, and build structures for communication that will sustain beyond the year-term of the placement. Serve Wisconsin manages the initiative that engages AmeriCorps VISTA members to address poverty related to racial disparity throughout the state of Wisconsin by focusing on building the economic opportunity for the communities of Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, and Native American.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will, proactively and respectfully establish relationships between Stepping Stones and community leaders, representatives and agencies of underserved populations. Utilize established relationships to assess community needs in underserved populations. Build structures for communication that will sustain beyond the year-term of the placement. Service Location: Menomonie, WI **Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis. Please submit application as soon as possible to ensure consideration.
