VISTA Leader

Success for every child, in every school, cradle to career. That’s the goal of Milwaukee Succeeds, an extensive community partnership that the Greater Milwaukee Foundation helped launch in 2011 along with a number of key business and civic leaders. Comprised of representatives from over 300 local organizations, Milwaukee Succeeds is working to identify, align, and scale strategies that move the needle on educational outcomes. The partnership is committed to making significant progress and bringing lasting change to the way the Milwaukee community supports the education of children. Our Strategic Objective (thru 2023) is to share decision-making power with those most impacted while centering on racial justice to accelerate education equity. The VISTA Leader collaborates with the Deputy Director to develop and improve management systems to support VISTA members, guide them in the creation and execution of work plans, support their work in building long-term capacity to sustain positive results, and lead the recruitment of the 2022-23 VISTA member cohort.
