NeighborWorks VISTA-NWHP–Process Improvement Specialist
 
 
 
NeighborWorks Home Partners is a full-service homeownership center that empowers individuals and communities by helping people buy, fix, and keep their homes. We are working to reduce racial disparities in homeownership and improve access to resources that support successful and sustainable homeownership. We are seeking a VISTA member to join our team to conduct conversations and hold focus groups to identify barriers to access our programs. You will evaluate our service delivery model (in-person and technology-based processes) to identify customer challenges and barriers. With this information, you will help improve customer engagement with our programs by improving service delivery workflows and implement recommendations. You'll gain experience in nonprofit operations and homeownership needs while applying your skills in solving accessibility issues and developing engagement strategies. If you're able to take on this challenge, you will be helping people access down payment assistance, homebuyer education, credit help, and home improvement funding. Many of our customers would not be able to achieve homeownership without this help. This is an experience that can make an impact not just for a lifetime but for generations to come.

Member Duties : We are looking for someone who likes to hold focus groups and conduct interviews to gather information to identify areas to improve how customers access our services. You will help create recommendations to remove barriers to access to improve customer engagement with our services, including solutions for: website accessibility issues; reaching underrepresented communities; and barriers due to technology, language, ability, etc. You'll produce digital and physical assets including: training materials to explain new processes; surveys to gauge customer satisfaction; and photos and testimonials from customers who contact our organization to achieve homeownership.
