Member Duties : AmeriCorps Members will serve students and one of 16 RSLV elementary schools providing physical activity and nutrition curriculum interventions after school. Members will lead groups of kids in physical fitness and nutrition/health education activities, and health-promotion activities for families, establish healthy eating habits and how to choose healthy snacks/meals. Members will provide valuable information to youth during after-school hours, identifying strategies to achieve a healthier lifestyle and reinforcing positive behavior.
450 hour positions available for service period of September 2025 – May 2026. The stipend for these positions are up to $7,200 for the 9-month term ($360.00 bi-weekly), education award is $1,956.35, and required hours are 13.75 hours per week.
