Program Development & Outreach VISTA - CCSNPC
 
 
 
Are you interested in behavioral health and wanting to serve your community? Are you willing to join a small but mighty group of committed professionals, develop community partnerships and collaborations, and engage stakeholders to carry out innovative projects and programs? As the VISTA member, you will work in a friendly fast-paced environment supporting and leading Safety & Resilience programs that work to provide Chatham County citizens with accessible, affordable and unique health and behavioral health services. Chatham County Safety Net Planning Council implements Safety & Resilience programs including Prevent Suicide Today, Mindful Self-Compassion, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, Front Porch A.C.T.S. (Adolescents and Children Transforming Savannah) and Health & Wellness. These programs are targeted to low-income families and youth. The VISTA will be responsible for outreach to these communities and promotion and marketing of the safety and resilience programs. As the Program Development & Outreach VISTA, you will also have the opportunity to utilize and grow skills in areas such as marketing, communication, programmatic development, grant writing and leadership.

Member Duties : The Program Development & Outreach VISTA will support the Chatham County Safety Net Planning Council (CCSNPC) and its Safety & Resilience programs by meeting the community's need and building capacity for effective, accessible, and affordable resources and training in four main areas: (1) Suicide Prevention, (2) Emotional Wellbeing, (3) Trauma-Informed Practices, and (4) Health & Wellness. The VISTA responsibilities will be to work with CCSNPC leadership and community partners to develop and implement training programs for promoting safety and resilience in Chatham County, grow and strengthen our community partnerships, assist in grant research, and market and evaluate our services and programs.
