Member Duties : The Summer Associate will work directly with youth and families with in promoting and creating a summer program to address Summer learning loss. In addition, the Summer Associate will work with Grand Canyon University student tutors in assisting children attending Summer school.
The Summer Associate will have the ability to work with the community and its residents in the Summer lunch program and Mobile Pantry distribution events which focus on providing access to nutritious foods to those individuals who need access to food. The Summer Associate will engage the community and its residents by promoting programs for City of Phoenix Housing Department. Engagement includes distributing fliers, door knocking, and speaking directly to residents. The Summer Associate will collect data for pre/post surveys which will be used for tracking the success of the programs.
