TMA 23-24 VISTA Leader

Transform Mid-Atlantic (formerly CCMA) is a non-profit membership association of public, private, 2- and 4-year colleges and universities. TMA provides leadership to colleges and universities in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Delaware by advocating, supporting, and encouraging institutional participation in academic and co-curricular based public service and civic engagement programs. TMA strengthens the capacity of member institutions to enhance student learning and to meaningfully engage with communities. The TMA AmeriCorps VISTA Leader will work directly with the 30 TMA AmeriCorps VISTA members placed at higher education institutions across the Maryland-DC-Delaware region to encourage and promote the expansion of service and quality campus-community partnerships. The role of the TMA AmeriCorps VISTA Leader is divided into two primary responsibilities: 1) supporting the 30 CCMA AmeriCorps VISTAs and their host-campuses in program development and sustainability, and 2) developing the capacity of Transform Mid-Atlantic. The TMA AmeriCorps VISTA Leader will work with the 30 CCMA AmeriCorps VISTAs and their supervisors, not directly with college students or community members, and will serve on a team of 1 to 2 other additional VISTA Leaders. Applicants must have previous experience as an AmeriCorps member. Please visit www.transformmidatlantic.org to learn more about Transform Mid-Atlantic, the TMA AmeriCorps VISTA project abstracts, and upcoming events and workshops.
