Eco3.21 Ecolibrium3 Impact Builder

Ecolibrium3 is a Minnesota 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to "lead and inspire change in our community toward an equitable and sustainable future." Ecolibrium3 works on all aspects of resilience building including housing, energy, resource management, economic development, and health, and is the convening organization in low-income neighborhoods along Duluth's St. Louis River. In order to support the anti-poverty, energy, and neighborhood work of Ecolibrium3, the Impact Builders will serve a central role in building organizational systems and sustainability. These members will dig deeper into CRM, training curriculum, grants management, and communications to drive efficiencies that can support organizational programs and other VISTA roles. The VISTA member will be a part of the Ecolibrium3 VISTA Corps and participate in cohort projects, training, and events. The Ecolibrium3 VISTA Corps began in 2017 with ten members focused on expanding capacity of local organizations and government agencies to address intractable community issues. Member positions range from working with City government on building equity and health into community plans, to working on community development at arts and neighborhood-based organizations, to combating opioids and hunger. The Ecolibrium3 VISTA Corps uses its depth of community knowledge to identify which levers may produce the largest impact on reducing poverty. We seek VISTA members that can help develop the support resources needed for VISTA members to succeed in their positions and is interested in developing community data approaches to addressing poverty and social inequities.

Member Duties : The Impact Builder VISTA will increase organizational capacity by building key systems and expand community engagement through applied enhancements to communications and data management systems. The member will be key to developing long term funding strategies in conjunction with anti-poverty efforts at the neighborhood level. Member Activities: 1) Assess capacity of Ecolibrium3 internal operational procedures and programs to determine strategies for system improvements, better inform staff of needs of constituents they serve, and increase programmatic impact for low SES individuals and families. 2) Develop organizational and programmatic communications content across multiple channels. 3) Identify and implement systems for researching and managing grants. 4) Increase use and viability of technological and data management systems at Ecolibrium3.
