25-26 Birds Connect Urban Conservation Educator

Birds Connect advocates and organizes for cities where people and birds thrive. We promote environmentally sound public policy, lead community science projects, and do hands on learning. provides hands-on education for all ages to learn about and enjoy birds and nature. Habitat loss, invasive species, pollution, urbanization, and more threaten birds. Hazards in the urban built environment contribute to bird mortality. We learn about local threats to birds through community research. We teach the community how to ensure birds and their habitats thrive. The member will support education and community science programs. They will also lead our teen program, Young Birders. We expect to begin rolling review of applications and interviews starting on 04/01/2025. Monthly stipend amount: $3,723. This is an AmeriCorps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled.
