Beat the Streets LA Program Development VISTA

The mission of Beat the Streets Los Angeles is to empower and transform the lives of youth through the sport of wrestling. In 2019-20, Beat the Streets Los Angeles served 1,193 girls and boys at 23 programs across the Greater Los Angeles Area. Year round programming includes practice three times a week, seasonal competitions, alongside summer enrichment programs which include our Futures Camp and Downtown Summer Academy program. As we look to develop and expand our impact, especially our network of female coaches, mentors, and athletes, we will need support in raising both funds and awareness centered around our goals. The Beat the Streets LA Program Development VISTA will be an important factor in increasing our capacity to recruit and train our coaches and mentors and maintain high program standards. This position will also offer opportunity to create material for program curriculum and improving data collection processes. This will result in the increased scale and reach of our programming efforts. If you are enthusiastic about building youth sports programs that focus on whole-student development, this is the role for you!
