TSC VISTA 2021: Squeaky Wheel Film & Media Art Center
 
 
 
The Service Collaborative (TSC) VISTA Program mobilizes AmeriCorps VISTA members to function in organizations, government agencies and educational institutions. Members focus on expanding educational opportunities, ensuring economic opportunity for all and creating healthy futures for the residents of low-income communities. Our goals are to strengthen communities across the state and to allow organizations within them to better provide services to impoverished individuals and families. The Service Collaborative VISTA program has partner organizations in New York State and across the country. During their term of service members, will receive support from our VISTA team at The Service Collaborative of WNY. Our support includes monthly trainings, a social network of fellow members and daily support from VISTA Leaders.

Member Duties : Squeaky Wheel Film & Media Art Center is the only organization in Western NY to offer education, equipment access, and exhibition programming dedicated to exploring film & digital media arts. Squeaky Wheel envisions a community that uses electronic media and film to celebrate freedom of expression and diversity of voice. The Outreach Coordinator VISTA will facilitate the implementation of new outreach goals, communication structures, and methods to strengthen and enhance Squeaky Wheel’s youth education programs. The VISTA will work on fundraising, program outreach, strengthening pipelines for workforce development, recruitment, and efficient administration of project evaluation protocols. The VISTA’s goal is to increase the effectiveness of programs in reducing poverty by building pathways to post-secondary education, career opportunities, and job readiness, and open avenues for generating new and sustainable resources to help our organization through this critical period of growth.
