Member Duties : The Seattle Housing Authority's (SHA) mission is to enhance the Seattle community by creating and sustaining decent, safe, and affordable living environments that foster stability and increase self-sufficiency for people with low incomes. The Digital Navigation Coordinator VISTA will work with service providers and partner organizations to narrow the digital divide for low-income families by conducting a digital equity assessment to understand the digital condition and landscape of resident needs. Including conditions such as; access to tech devices, internet connection, and having the proper skills to access and utilize online resources. Further, the VISTA will coordinate and oversee the development of a data collection and management system that will identify the assets that exist at SHA and beyond. Additionally, the VISTA will develop, implement, and evaluate a Digital Navigator program that will meet the determined digital literacy needs of housing authority residents.
