Eco3.21 Regional Agricultural Food Systems Coordinator

Our team looks forward to working with you and coordinating our work and passion around Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems as this relates to eaters and farmers justice, equity, diversity and inclusion. On the ground relief with long term solutions is our goal! Northeast Regional Sustainable Development Partnership (NERSDP) is a unique citizen empowered experiment to connect communities in Northeast Minnesota to the University of Minnesota’s resources. Our work uses a lens of sustainability within four focus areas; Agriculture and Food Systems, Clean Energy, Natural Resources and Resilient Communities. This VISTA member will focus on Agriculture and Food Systems to work on building a more just, equitable and sustainable food system. To address food hunger, food access, and farmer income issues that especially affect low income people in urban and rural areas, the Northeast RSDP Vista initiative will help build enduring capacity and rich collaboration with the areas of need in Duluth, adjoining towns and rural areas including Aitkin, Pine and Itasca Counties along with the Iron Range and North Shore Communities. The position will unite current efforts by bringing the rural and urban food people together to better coordinate the work to a land based, caring system of food production and access. What you bring to this table of work, will be valued and nurtured as we strive for direct impact! Impact that empowers all involved as we create a new way of being in a world we want to live in! Together!
