Baltimore STEM Scholars Program
Founded in 2009, LETS GO operates in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area to break the cycle of poverty through STEM education and workforce development. Through partnerships with schools and youth organizations LETS GO establishes high-quality, ‘hands-on minds-on’ STEM programs for youth in under resourced communities. We provide effective capacity building support to our partners through customized strategic planning, program coordination and evaluation, volunteer training and management, hands-on STEM professional development workshops and instructor coaching, curriculum selection and development, and ready-to use materials. The STEM Scholars Program Associate VISTA will be a key member of the STEM Scholar Program Team. You will work alongside the Baltimore City LETS GO team developing a sustainable program to connect middle and high school youth from under-resourced communities with the hard and soft skills they need to overcome barriers on their path into the STEM workforce. We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, who is team orientated, a self-starter, and organized, reliable, able to work independently, and enjoys a challenge. Highly qualified candidates will have experience with Science Olympiad and/or FIRST LEGO League, or communications/marketing experience. Spanish speaking is a plus.
