GSCM-Think Like a Citizen Scientist
GSCM delivers on its mission through the provision of research-based programs in a variety of venues, using experiential learning techniques and producing impact in girls in K-12 in the national priority areas of STEM education/career aspirations, the outdoors, life skills and entrepreneurship. The STEM program developer will help promote STEM gender equity and provide access to girls who otherwise would not be exposed to high quality STEM opportunities. This position will refine curriculum, evaluation processes, resources and systems necessary for sustained implementation of STEM programs in underserved communities. In addition to launch of a turnkey operation for robotics and its hand-off to other leaders, this position will develop the logic model, SharePoint repository, and training program for part time coaches and volunteers in entrepreneurship (using Math, cookie sale and financial literacy as a basis), and GSCM’s environmental stewardship program utilizing GSCM watershed camp properties for water quality/storm water management projects, and supporting girls’ service learning projects.
