2022 Girl Scouts of Central MD-Healthy Choices

GSCM delivers on its mission through the provision of research-based programs in a variety of venues, using experiential learning techniques and producing impact in girls in K-12 in the national priority areas of STEM education/career aspirations, the outdoors, life skills and entrepreneurship. The Health/Wellness program developer will help address the obesity epidemic in young women attending Baltimore City public schools, and impact the low educational achievement levels produced by poor nutrition. The program will embrace diversity, equity and inclusion in the nutrition elements incorporated; in the urban farming service projects developed, and in the use of step dance as a main vehicle for moderate-to-vigorous activity.
