TSC VISTA 2021: FLACRA Retention and Engagement
 
 
 
The Service Collaborative (TSC) VISTA Program mobilizes AmeriCorps VISTA members to function in organizations, government agencies and educational institutions. Members focus on expanding educational opportunities, ensuring economic opportunity for all and creating healthy futures for the residents of low-income communities. Our goals are to strengthen communities across the state and to allow organizations within them to better provide services to impoverished individuals and families. The Service Collaborative VISTA program has partner organizations in New York State and across the country. During their term of service members, will receive support from our VISTA team at The Service Collaborative of WNY. Our support includes monthly trainings, a social network of fellow members and daily support from VISTA Leaders.

Member Duties : Finger Lakes Area Counseling and Recovery Agency (FLACRA) is a nonprofit behavioral health and substance abuse treatment provider that believes in making a difference, one life at a time. The Agency has a long history of providing innovative clinical, residential, and housing treatment services for individuals experiencing alcohol and substance use disorders. FLACRA is a client-centered, strength-based treatment agency, which incorporates therapeutic interventions to lift clients with substance disorders out of poverty. The Retention and Engagement Specialist VISTA will develop data collection methods on engagement, retention, and treatment outcomes to determine the most impactful treatment interventions. Collected data will analyze program effectiveness, efficiency, and delivery during system transformation to a value-based payment model. Further, the VISTA will develop and expand agency training manuals, supportive navigation tools, and financial resources amongst FLACRA programs.
