PBDG Foundation Program Development Specialist - MCNW
 
 
 
PBDG Foundation, located in Portland, Oregon, improves the business conditions of small minority and women-owned firms in the construction industry through education, training, and mentorship. Our clients are BIPOC and female construction firms in urban, suburban, and rural areas of Oregon and SW Washington. Our community is over 150 businesses strong! The VISTA member placed at our agency will support grant writing, fundraising, and volunteer coordination activities at PBDG, vehicles that are used to develop the capacity of the PBDG Foundation to deploy microenterprise, and financial technical assistance, ultimately creating and retaining jobs across Oregon. We are an energetic, fun-loving team that works well together to get things done while enjoying dedicated team activity events! As a PBDG Foundation VISTA member, you will be part of a larger cohort of AmeriCorps members serving throughout Oregon and Washington State and coordinated by Mercy Corps Northwest. Early applications are strongly encouraged. Selections for this role are made on a rolling basis.

Member Duties : The VISTA project will help enhance and support our grant writing and fundraising infrastructure by writing grants and proposals for the organization. This individual will also spearhead fundraising strategies/activities for the organization. Additionally, the vista will support our volunteer management system to recruit, train orient and support volunteers who are interested in providing support for BIPOC and female entrepreneurs in Construction who face multiple barriers. Volunteer management includes recruitment, selection, orientation, scheduling support, tracking of impact stories in PBDG CRM system, and work with organization staff to outreach to the local business and construction industry.
