VISTA Leader: National Tribal VISTA Network

The goal of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) Tribal VISTA Program is to develop and grow a network of VISTA sites and members that work to build the capacity of tribal programs and communities. Our VISTA projects focus on natural resource planning, food sovereignty, youth development, and behavioral health resources to increase economic development and alleviate poverty in native american communities. From AIHEC's Washington, DC, central office, the VISTA Leader will assist in the development and implementation of administrative support and technical assistance systems for VISTA site supervisors and their VISTA members. Duties also include interacting with VISTA sites to assist in designing training and professional development opportunities, program planning, and program evaluation and reporting. Networking and other professional development opportunities will be a big plus, along with experiencing policy development in our nation’s capital.
