Campus Compact of Oregon Full Time VISTA Members
 
 
 
VISTA members commit to serve full-time for a year at a community college, university, K12 school, nonprofit organization, or public agency to create or expand programs designed to bring individuals and communities out of poverty. Campus Compact of Oregon VISTA members are committed to developing equitable community-engaged programming that increases educational access and success for students from low-income backgrounds, LGBTQAI2++ communities, and Communities of Color. Using an equity and libratory lens, VISTA members build capacity for college campuses and organizations to increase access for educational resources, alleviate poverty based on community identified issue areas, and empower students to be change agents in their communities. Member Duties : 17 VISTA members on Oregon campuses and at community organizations will develop programming to address K-12 and college access and success for low-income students, Black Indigenous Communities of Color, LGBTQAI2++ Communities, Immigrant and Refugee Communities; engage first-generation and low-income college students in critical, poverty reducing activities; provide leadership development, training, support, and reflection activities for volunteers; promote racial justice and educational equity; and build community partnerships. Campus Compact of Oregon VISTA Members must have a commitment to or willingness to learn about racial justice, LGBQTQAI2++ justice, Disability Justice, Black Liberation, Indigenous Sovereignty, and more
 
Program Benefits : $150 professional development fund ,  Living Allowance ,  Childcare assistance if eligible ,  Relocation Allowance ,  Stipend ,  Training ,  Education award upon successful completion of service ,  Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend ,  Health Coverage* .
