2021 Social Media and Publicity Coordinator VISTA

The Social Media & Publicity Coordinator works to build capacity of Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma to serve those in need in our community by raising funds and recruiting volunteers through effective communications. The VISTA will work with CCEOK staff to create materials that increase awareness of the work done by the organization’s 14 programs focused on alleviating the root causes of poverty. These programs provide food, education, dental care, pregnancy care, transitional living programs for families, counseling, immigration legal services, end-of-life care, emergency assistance, and more. In addition, the VISTA will create a sustainable, easy-to-maintain communications plan for use by CCEOK after the VISTA's term is complete. Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma’s main campus is located in Tulsa. The organization is steadily growing, reaching those in need across Eastern Oklahoma through eight outreach locations and collaborations with parishes. This VISTA position is a part of Catholic Charities USA’s Family Strengthening Program, a national intermediary project. As a member, you will meet virtually with VISTA Leaders and other VISTAs serving throughout the country, all focused on alleviating poverty.
