Nationalities Service Center-Refugee Housing

Both incoming refugees and other vulnerable immigrants struggle with housing instability and often face imminent homelessness or are forced to accept substandard and dangerous living conditions at inflated rents just to ensure they do not become homeless. The VISTA will focus on landlord outreach and engagement to build a network of available landlords who are willing to rent to NSC clients to provide safe, affordable housing. The VISTA will maintain good relationships with these landlords by troubleshooting existing issues and further creating programming to explore how to best sustain these relationships.
