KATB Coalition Development and Resource Coordinator VISTA

Kids at their Best’s (KATB) mission is to inspire, educate and empower rural young people from low-income families to change their life trajectory and become successful, productive adults. Based in Morgan County, they serve 600+ kids across the Eastern Plains K-12 through college and into the workforce. Across rural Colorado, 1 in 6 children grows up in poverty. KATB offers a myriad of youth programming which meet the kids where they are - in their own neighborhoods to address these challenges. This member will provide aid to KATB’s mission through resource mapping and outreach to the community, identifying new opportunities for partnership and expanded services, expanding the organizations volunteer program, and building systems for KATB’s success and to measure program impact. When you join the KATB team you are family and will have the opportunity to grow through service at this long-standing community organization. You will learn the challenges faced by those in poverty and your service will support hunger relief for struggling families and children in a community that has struggled for decades. KATB invests in their VISTA members to provide networking, training and professional development opportunities.
