TSC VISTA 2021: Cooperative Federal Credit Union
 
 
 
The Service Collaborative (TSC) VISTA Program mobilizes AmeriCorps VISTA members to function in organizations, government agencies and educational institutions. Members focus on expanding educational opportunities, ensuring economic opportunity for all and creating healthy futures for the residents of low-income communities. Our goals are to strengthen communities across the state and to allow organizations within them to better provide services to impoverished individuals and families. The Service Collaborative VISTA program has partner organizations in New York State and across the country. During their term of service members, will receive support from our VISTA team at The Service Collaborative of WNY. Our support includes monthly trainings, a social network of fellow members and daily support from VISTA Leaders.

Member Duties : Since 1982, Cooperative Federal Credit Union has been building a strong, fair, and inclusive local economy by investing in homeownership, small business, affordable credit, and banking services. By bringing community finance to Syracuse's urban, multicultural neighborhoods, Cooperative Federal works to transform lives and build a better future. The Community Development & Outreach Associate VISTA will build programmatic and organizational capacity to fight poverty by developing and sustaining innovative community programs, building, and nourishing community partnerships, creating stronger communications strategies, and cultivating strategies and resources for organizational sustainability. The VISTA will increase the scale, sustainability, and efficacy of Cooperative Federal’s community finance work by developing financial and programmatic resources, communications strategies, local partnerships, program management, outreach plans, and tools for staff training and reporting.
