"The AmeriCorps member serving at Arapahoe Community College (ACC) will, in conjunction with ACC’s Career Services, Workforce & Community Programs Office, and Admissions, build the capacity of the college to connect low-income students to obtain workforce training, education, and skills that meet employer needs and lead to increased employment through conducting research, analyzing data, building partnerships, and developing a sustainable pipeline for improved job placement from both credit and non-credit programs. The biweekly living allowance for this position is 674.66 in Arapahoe County. In addition to the benefits listed, the host site will provide a gym pass, free & reduced courses, internet/phone stipend, professional development & training opportunities. The AmeriCorps member serving at Arapahoe will be part of a dynamic, motivated corps with Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA. Serving as a member of a corps provides the chance to connect with other members throughout multiple states, create a network of support, and to share resources. As the intermediary, Campus Compact, a national non-profit, supports the professional and personal growth of AmeriCorps members through a variety of professional development opportunities and in-person trainings including overnight retreats throughout their service year.
