Campus Compact VISTA Arapahoe Comm College - Basic Needs, CO
 
 
 
The AmeriCorps member serving at Arapahoe Community College (ACC) will build capacity by partnering with the ACC community to establish a robust network of financial resources for students past, present, and future! Alongside a team of professionals, an AmeriCorps member will help create and launch a financial literacy/wellness program as well as institute communication plans that inform all ACC students about wrap around resources and services on campus that will assist students in successfully completing their educational goals. The biweekly living allowance for this position is 674.66 in Arapahoe County. In addition to the benefits listed, the host site will provide professional development and training opportunities. The AmeriCorps member serving at Arapahoe Community College will be part of a dynamic, motivated corps with Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA. Serving as a member of a corps provides the chance to connect with other members throughout multiple states, create a network of support, and to share resources. As the intermediary, Campus Compact, a national non-profit, supports the professional and personal growth of AmeriCorps members through a variety of professional development opportunities and in-person trainings including overnight retreats throughout their service year. Member Duties : The Campus Compact AmeriCorps member serving at Arapahoe Community College will, in conjunction with the Dean of Students Office and the Financial Aid Office, build the capacity of the school to connect low-income students to the resources they need to increase food and housing stability while in school as well as increase their financial literacy knowledge as it applies to their current and future plans.
