Refugee and Asylum-Seeker Support Coordinator VISTA
 
 
 
As an AmeriCorps VISTA member, you will enhance the capacity of the Alabama Interfaith Refugee Partnership (ALIRP) to respond to the migration crisis by helping to support refugees and asylum seekers locally and globally through education, advocacy, and direct support. You will assist the organization through collaboration with community partners, implementing key strategies for committees in the organization, and managing organizational projects. You will also work with organizational leaders to partner with other organizations in the Birmingham area and across the United States serving refugees and asylum-seekers.

Member Duties : The VISTA will support ALIRP and partners to increase their capacity, including planning, logistics, data management, and communication. They will also support efforts to engage the community in an effort to effect change.
