Eco3.21 Summer VISTA

The Ecolibrium3 (Eco3) VISTA Corps is made up of dynamic, creative, and caring individuals that apply their skills to some our region's most difficult issues. Members serve either 10-week summer positions or in 1-year placements with organizations throughout northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. Ecolibrium3's mission is to lead and inspire change in our region toward an equitable and sustainable future. We focus on building community resilience and capacity in the areas of food, health, equity, energy, environment, economic development, arts, disaster preparedness, and community planning. Our programs have been nationally recognized by the White House, EPA, and Main Street America. We seek candidates that are ready to grow their professional skills, expand their networks, experience community, and positively impact those around them. Eco3 VISTA members each serve in individual positions, but are supported through a cohort model that provides expanded leadership and professional development. Cohort members also connect in fun-filled social activities that allow for northland experiences that highlight the best our region has to offer in outdoor activities, arts, and culture.

Member Duties : Eco3 Summer 2021 VISTAs will concentrate their efforts in two main areas: 1) Community Pandemic Recovery, and 2) Household Energy Poverty Reduction. Specifically, members will assist in community outreach activities to increase awareness of pandemic recovery resources and community vaccination opportunities. Members will also assist in energy efficiency improvements for low-income, veteran, disabled, and elderly households, with an emphasis on those impacted by COVID-19. Each successful applicant will work with Eco3 VISTA leadership to establish a personal leadership development plan at the beginning of their service. Through this plan, members will identify areas of individual capacity-building to focus on during the 10-weeks of service.
