Coldharbour Institute is a 501©3 non-profit, partnered with and housing within WCU’s School of Environment & Sustainability, whose mission is to demonstrate, educate, and incubate regenerative personal, land, and community practices. We are a learning laboratory for regenerative living practices. The goal of Coldharbour is to demonstrate what a thriving community can look like when we practice regenerative techniques in our land management, agriculture, building, and energy production and focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion in every aspect.

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps member will provide development assistance to both Coldharbour Institute and the Center for Cold Climate Food Security at Western Colorado University. The duties include: Development & Fundraising - Use and maintain grant writing process for both organizations - Identify grants with supervisors that are appropriate for the programs/projects - Write and submit 2-4 grants per quarter - Assist with fundraising events Outreach - Assist with the development and management of outreach systems - Curate content for social media and constituent contact Program Development - Develop relationships with organizations to provide funding, internships, and hands-on experiences for students - Research program syllabi, target job opportunities for future students, and integrate into the center curriculum.
