23-24 Oregon STEM Ecosystem VISTA
 
 
 
Southern Oregon Education Service District is a community of practice recognized by the STEM Learning Ecosystems Initiative. In partnership with the Afterschool Alliance and the STEM Funders Network, the Southern Oregon Education Service District is embarking on exciting work to expand the amount of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education opportunities offered in diverse learning spaces. These types of opportunities are made more accessible to youth through expanding local partnerships, coordinating community-led STEM activities, and more. This position is based in Medford, Oregon. Afterschool Alliance VISTAs are eligible for the following benefits: up to $1000/mo for housing, $50/mo for gas, and $150/mo for groceries.

Member Duties : Become familiar with grants and projects where connections, trainings and experiences between students, educators, community and industry partners (or any variation of) are needed; In collaboration with Southern Oregon STEM Hub, provide virtual and in person connections, trainings and experiences for students, educators, community and industry partners;Become familiar with local regional needs assessments
