Employment Services and Outreach Coordinator VISTA

As a VISTA member, you will empower men and women experiencing homelessness by contributing to income and employment, helping to break the cycle of poverty in the Jacksonville community. You will create educational materials and programming to assist with resume writing, interview skills, job readiness, and career development. You will create career placement and job readiness relationships with community partners. You will represent the Employment Services program at events to promote programming to those eligible to participate. Our VISTAS will also collaborate to create original written, audio, and video trainings, and compile these as well as external trainings into a training database for Sulzbacher staff.

Member Duties : To build the capacity of Sulzbacher and it’s employees to respond to the educational, career development, and job placement needs of clients served, including the homeless and at-risk women and men. The VISTA will lead efforts to improve educational programming and service provision in the area of job readiness. They will also develop outreach systems and build partnerships for clients to obtain employment in the community, helping to break the cycle of poverty in the Jacksonville community.
