Telligen Community Initiative (TCI) offers the opportunity the work on the grant making activities focused on health, equity, innovation, and workforce development. Be part of implementing our core grant making programming, as well as the launch of new, high impact efforts to assist the health and productivity of Iowans in all new ways during 2021-22.

Member Duties : The VISTA will focus on 2 primary elements as currently envisioned. (1) The VISTA will be engaged in all social determinants of health/health equity grant application reviews & current grantee evaluations. Given the pandemic we have tried to position funding in this area to focus on the intersection of health & housing, as well as enhanced funding opportunities around food insecurity and hunger. (2) TCI is currently piloting a community referral platform (NowPow) special funding opportunity in Illinois and Colorado. We envision the geographic expansion of that effort in 2022 to potentially include Iowa. The VISTA would be fully involved in that effort or any other social equity-based programming we proactively lift in the state. The NowPow community referral platform and our funding support is designed to make it easier for health/clinical and human/social service organizations to collaborate and share client/patient information to better coordinate care and support more easily.
