Member Duties : Our Summer Associates will assist the Jefferson Department of Emergency Management (DEM) in Port Townsend, WA in recruiting, training, engaging, and retaining volunteers in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. DEM is supporting a vaccination site lead by Jefferson Healthcare in Port Townsend, and plans for another in various location in the community. We hope associates can assist us in the coordination of these critical volunteer resources in a few key areas: 1. outreach and recruitment (find more and the right fit) 2. training (prepping them for success and meeting requirements) 3. engagement (putting them to work in areas where help is needed and where they can succeed) 4. retention (ensuring they had a quality volunteer experience and will hopefully remain as a volunteer post pandemic response)
