Volunteer Management VISTA
 
 
 
Covenant House Alaska (CHA) serves youth experiencing homelessness in Alaska with a crisis shelter and wrap around services that include street outreach, ongoing education, drop in services, and a wellness clinic. The Volunteer Management VISTA member will break the cycle of youth poverty and homelessness by increasing community volunteerism at Covenant House Alaska. Volunteers are an essential component of expanding services available to Alaskan youth experiencing homelessness.

Member Duties : The VISTA Member will work to improve efficacy of existing volunteerism efforts at Covenant House Alaska (CHA), increase community volunteerism, and be a catalyst for communication about new and ongoing volunteer activities. Some specific duties include; developing volunteer training modules, co-launching those trainings, implementing a formal volunteer appreciation program, creating volunteer stories through photos/videos for use on social media, maintaining the volunteer database, designing volunteer recruitment strategies, and more!
 
Program Benefits : Living Allowance ,  Health Coverage* ,  Childcare assistance if eligible ,  Stipend ,  Education award upon successful completion of service ,  $200 a month payment towards housing ,  Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend ,  Relocation Allowance ,  Training .
