2021 Be Mighty Summer Associate- Children's
 
 
 
Be Mighty Little Rock is a city-wide anti-hunger campaign. Housed at the Central Arkansas Library System, Be Mighty promotes USDA meal programs for kids and teens 18 and younger. CALS operates 11 USDA meal sites. Kids and teens can pick up free breakfast and lunch six days a week during the summer. CALS also offers a variety of virtual and grab-and-go programs. In addition to serving meals, Be Mighty provides nutrition education to children and teens.

Member Duties : Summer Associates will serve USDA meals through the Summer Food Service Program, prepare grab-and-go activity kits to distribute along with summer meals, create content for virtual and/ or outdoor nutrition education programs using commit to health, and promote and distribute Food Security Screenings. Summer associates will provide patrons with information regarding SNAP eligibility and the application process.
