21 Program Coordinator Summer Associate
 
 
 
We are looking for 4 enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to help build capacity of the Spartanburg Housing Summer Food Programs and Youth initiatives by creating neighborhood programs that enable access to community agencies and build educational sustainability through the summer. They will also identify capacity-building opportunities for volunteers, access educational learning programs for students, and assist with the sustainability of the summer food program, and develop ongoing sufficiency tracking of students and family.

Member Duties : As a Program Coordinator VISTA with Spartanburg Housing, you will Build partnerships, create educational programming, and oversee the Summer Food program at two Spartanburg Housing Public Housing Sites. To accomplish this, you will set up the workspace, work with food vendors to coordinate delivery, and welcome children for the Summer Food Program. You will also research new educational games, programs, and reading challenges for students to sign-up weekly to improve and sustain their learning. In addition, you will coordinate with local agencies for onsite programming for youth, and build partnerships by attending community agency meetings and visiting local programs.15% of your service weekly will be dedicated to researching housing and community grants that will provide capacity building, financial self-sufficiency programs for residents, and add additional outreach components for the agency.
