Member Duties : · Teach hands-on bike mechanic and bike safety classes to middle and high school youth.
· Participate in walk and bike to school events.
· Give classroom presentations and lead field trips that teach youth about public transit.
· Educate youth and families about environmentally friendly transportation options at outreach events.
· Encourage drivers to make roads safer for people walking and biking by pledging to be Safe Streets Ambassadors.
· Teach bike safety skills to youth at bike safety community events.
· Oversee and assist bike shop volunteers with rebuilding bikes.
· Develop and maintain teaching tools and outreach materials that support education activities.
