Campus Compact VISTA Tufts University, MA
This AmeriCorps member serving at Tufts University in Tisch College will build capacity to shape and implement initiatives that build the community research capacity of local nonprofit organizations as well as Tufts students and faculty while assisting in the building of content and distribution channels for research tools. The AmeriCorps member will develop a targeted workshop series, shareable resources and an online hub for potential research partners, and a community of practice comprised of students and community partners who directly work with individuals impacted by poverty. The biweekly living allowance for this position is $1.027.88 in Middlesex county. In addition to the benefits listed, the host site will provide access to professional development & training opportunities. The AmeriCorps member serving at Tufts University in Tisch College will be part of a dynamic, motivated corps with Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA. Serving as a member of a corps provides the chance to connect with other members throughout multiple states, create a network of support, and to share resources. As the intermediary, Campus Compact, a national non-profit, supports the professional and personal growth of AmeriCorps members through a variety of professional development opportunities and in-person trainings including overnight retreats throughout their service year. Member Duties : The Campus Compact AmeriCorps member serving at Tufts University in Tisch College will build capacity by expanding community organizational capacity to leverage anti-poverty research and participatory research skills to better identify community concerns, to strengthen equitable community-university partnerships, and to inform improvements related to anti-poverty programming
