‘21 VIP - Program & Engagement VISTA - AccessHealth

This position is part of the VISTAs in the Piedmont (VIP) program sponsored by United Way of the Piedmont. As a VISTA at AccessHealth Spartanburg, you will help to identify gaps in care as well as potential community and assets available for uninsured families and individuals in rural counties. You will research, conduct, and analyze data for focus groups for clients and community partners. Additionally, you will help identify ways for AHS management to measure Care Navigator return on investment & productivity. You will also research and create a program/best practice to capture clients who are lost to services, as well as secure additional funding for the organization. The VIP program offers a unique approach to VISTA service, as you will spend 10% of your time each week working collaboratively with 19 other VISTA members placed in the community to research and implement community-wide solutions focusing on either increasing access to behavioral healthcare or increasing financial stability. Benefits include: monthly housing stipend, doubled food stamps at the farmer's market, housing referrals, household & personal care supplies provided through the Gifts in Kind Center, ongoing professional development, reimbursement for service-related travel, discounted gym membership, professional mentoring, and more!
