The AmeriCorps member serving at the University of Massachusetts Lowell with the River Hawk Scholar Academy (RHSA) will help the RHSA revise and execute current assessment benchmarks and tools, tell the story of the program, create resources and supports for students, identify and secure outside funding sources and internal supports, design programmatic systems and processes, and expand RHSA’s depth and breadth of student support and opportunities. The biweekly living allowance for this position is $1.027.88 in Middlesex county. In addition to the benefits listed, the host site will provide fitness center passes, access to free or reduced courses, professional development (conferences), access to professional development & training opportunities, internet or phone stipend and on-campus housing (pandemic pending). The AmeriCorps member serving at the University of Massachusetts Lowell with the River Hawk Scholar Academy (RHSA) will be part of a dynamic, motivated corps with Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA. Serving as a member of a corps provides the chance to connect with other members throughout multiple states, create a network of support, and to share resources. As the intermediary, Campus Compact, a national non-profit, supports the professional and personal growth of AmeriCorps members through a variety of professional development opportunities and in-person trainings including overnight retreats throughout their service year.
