Storytime Village Early Literacy Summer Associate
 
 
 
Storytime Village, Inc. is a Kansas based children's literacy nonprofit organization. With the support of parents and the community we inspire underserved children to read by providing them with free books and literacy resources. We recognize that, for children, books open doors to opportunities, new worlds and experiences, and overall build their self-esteem. For that reason, we strive to give every child in Kansas an opportunity for a better future through legacy. The Early Literacy cohort will consist of 3 summer associates, who will support the development of an early reader curriculum with Wichita State University’s College of Applied Studies. By the end of the service term, the team will have contributed to the outcome of an advanced early reader curriculum.

Member Duties : The team will develop 25-20 "mini-lessons" to be incorporated into the reading curriculum and conduct 2-3 trials on the efficiency and ease of use of the curriculum through trial runs with early learners.
