Storytime Village Early Literacy Summer Associate
 
 
 
The Early Literacy Coordinator will serve with Storytime Village, Inc. to support direct literacy instruction and engagement for children in programs such as LEAP Camp and Storytime in the Park. By strengthening foundational reading skills, the Summer Associate supports improved academic outcomes, which are strongly linked to high school graduation, career readiness, and pathways out of poverty.

Member Duties : - Support direct literacy instruction through reading circles, storytelling, and small group activities - Assist students in developing reading comprehension and writing skills - Provide one-on-one and small group support to increase student engagement - Encourage student participation and confidence in literacy activities - Help facilitate structured literacy lessons during LEAP Camp and Storytime in the Park - Track student participation in literacy activities - Monitor improvements in student engagement and reading confidence
