COVID Response Member - Flint Urban Safety and Health Corps
 
 
 
COVID-19 Response AmeriCorps members will serve in a full-time capacity (40 hours per week) beginning in late April/early May and ending in late October/early November. COVID-19 Response AmeriCorps Members will serve within the Genesee County Health Department, provide outreach services, and support COVID-19 vaccine or testing events in community-based settings throughout Genesee County.

Member Duties : • Supports GCHD COVID-19 Recovery response efforts and community engagement; • Recruits and schedules eligible participants for vaccination appointments, in accordance with the COVID-19 recovery plan; • Supports vaccine clinics, including greeting attendees, providing directional assistance, escorting attendees who need help, sanitizing and organizing supplies, performing temperature checks, and more; • Performs telephonic outreach to residents, based on the COVID-19 recovery plan; • Contacts / interacts with the public for eligibility assessment and delivery of department services; • Completes client documentation and other data collection, including data entry into computer / web-based data systems; • Supports community-based COVID-19 response events, including interaction with general public;
