*MTCC Summer Associate - KALICO Art Center

KALICO Art Center is a contemporary, community space for all ages and abilities to create, connect, and experience art by offering dynamic classes, events, exhibitions, and studio space.14.8% of the population in Kalispell are living in poverty. The 3rd largest demographic of those in poverty are 6-11 year old females and the 4th largest are 12-14 year old males. Currently there is very limited access to art education and supplies for youth and families living in poverty within the greater Flathead Valley community. This project will not only provide K-12th graders with the supplies and space to pursue creative interests, but also internal tools that they need to be successful in school, along with a safe place to be when they are not in school.
