MTCC Summer Associate - ExplorationWorks

ExplorationWorks works to inspire a lifelong love for science to enrich Montana’s future. ExplorationWorks offers hands-on exhibits, programs, workshops, classes, and camps for kids and families, as well as school and community groups that help kids, families, and adults transform book-based knowledge into hands-on, real-life experiences. The Helena community has ten total Title-One schools: eight elementary schools, and two middle schools. During the summer months, these students benefit greatly from increased access to STEM programming through our partnership with No Kid Hungry and School-Aged Child Care (SACC), along with other community partners such as the Lewis and Clark public library, the Clancy Library and the Boulder Library. By increasing opportunities for students to engage in hands-on, in-person learning experiences through ExplorationWorks, we can help combat the learning loss and lack of interest in learning that has been prevalent during the pandemic, and help create a more scientifically literate community.
