Campus Compact - NHTI, Concord's Community College
 
 
 
The Northern New England Campus Compact VISTA Collaboration is a full-time, post-graduate service opportunity program. VISTA members serve with K-12 schools, colleges and universities across beautiful Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont to build capacity in educational institutions fighting poverty. This VISTA Program provides high-impact professional development and training for our VISTA members. Training addresses skills required to carry out the assigned VISTA role, as well as skill-building that will be valuable to the VISTA member in their future professional pursuits. The program is a cohort-based experience that creates the opportunity to learn from peers in the program, to share what is learned in service, and to foster a supportive service year community.

Member Duties : A member will: Sit in on campus committees & projects, including the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee; Actively serve on the Lynx Food Pantry and NHTI CARES Committees, and the Student Engagement Team; Plan, develop, and host events for key dates such as MLK Jr. Day and National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week; Create timely and creative infographics to promote events across campus; Advise the Alternative Spring Break Program on campus & coordinate service events that engage ASB members with their community; Co-advise the National Society of Leadership and Success club; Conduct outreach to local grocery stores for donations benefiting the food pantry; Staff the pantry on a weekly basis; Assist in the recruitment of future VISTA members; Staff winter and summer orientation programs.
