Minnesota West Community & Technical College, Campus Compact

Minnesota West Community and Technical College is a 5 campus and 2 learning center institution, located in Southwestern MN. We prepare learners for a lifetime of success by cultivating community engagement, courage, diversity and inclusion, innovation, integrity and student success. Roughly 60% of our student population receive federal financial aid putting a number of students at risk of not being able to persist to graduation due to financial constraints and basic need and health insecurity. Minnesota West seeks an AmeriCorps VISTA to augment low-income and underrepresented students’ health, wellness, and success, by expanding access to emergency food and awareness of basic needs resources at the campuses and communities we serve. This project is part of the Community Corps VISTA Program, operated by Iowa & Minnesota Campus Compact. The program strives to eliminate poverty through campus-community partnerships by placing full-time capacity building support in nonprofit organizations and higher education institutions. ***Please also send cover letter and resume to supervisor. Interviews will occur on a rolling basis. Preference given to candidates who apply early.***
